FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE MALL AT ROBINSON, STATION SQUARE AND LIBERTY CENTER JOIN FORCES

TO CELEBRATE FOREST CITY’S THIRD ANNUAL COMMUNITY DAY

PITTSBURGH, June 7, 2006- Forest City Enterprises today announced that three of its Pittsburgh-area properties, The Mall at Robinson, Station Square & Liberty Center, have joined forces to celebrate the company’s third annual Community Day on Friday, June 9.  The local team members will help Gwen’s Girls, a non-profit agency that strives to meet the needs of at-risk girls, ages 8-18, landscape, paint and clean their two new locations in Homewood and the North Side.

“Forest City Enterprises is committed to making the places we live and work better places,” said Shema Krinsky, marketing director, Mall at Robinson.  “Community Day is a great way for Forest City employees to help make a difference in their local communities.”   More than 1,300 Forest City associates from across the country, many already active in serving their local communities, will do so en masse this week for the 2006 Forest City Enterprises third annual Community Day.

Gwen’s Girls was founded by Gwendolyn Elliot, who retired as a commander of the Pittsburgh Police Department.  In 2002, Allegheny County’s Office of Children, Youth and Families funded the creation of Gwen’s Girls.  Gwen’s Girls mission is to empower girls, ages 8-18, to have productive futures through holistic, gender-specific programs, education and experiences.  All of their services and programs are designed to educate, involve and improve each girl’s ability to achieve success in facing a variety of challenges as she grows and develops into adulthood.

“We’re excited Forest City Enterprises has chosen our group as their local community partner, and we appreciate their efforts to help us help others,” stated Gwendolyn Elliot, founder and CEO.  “In the past, we’ve purchased food and supplies for community groups that help our organization, but Forest City has provided everything and they will complete all of the updates to the houses within one day.”  Gwen’s Girls welcomes and greatly appreciates monetary contributions to support programming.  All donations are tax-deductible and can include memorial gifts, trusts, life insurance policies, bequests and in-kind gifts.  For more information visit www.gwensgirls.org,
